NO

QR codes, or Quick Response codes, were invented in 1994 by Masahiro Hara, a Japanese engineer at Denso Wave, a subsidiary of Toyota. Developed to streamline tracking vehicles during manufacturing, QR codes evolved from the traditional barcodes to accommodate more information. These codes gained popularity due to their ability to store data in both vertical and horizontal directions, increasing their data capacity significantly. Despite their proprietary origin, Denso Wave deliberately chose not to enforce patents on QR codes, opting to make them openly accessible for everyone. This decision was made to encourage widespread adoption and innovation across various industries without the encumbrance of licensing fees, ultimately fueling their ubiquitous use in marketing, logistics, payments, and various other applications worldwide. This is why Beloved Lily's Pet Company doesn't charge for QR Codes.
